Ayodhya or CWG?

I was just wondering why the government has decided to announce the Ayodhya verdict just before the start of Common Wealth Games in Delhi. Is it because the government wants to shift people's focus from the corruption seen in the games to something which is apparently more sensitive issue for people? Is it an eyewash for the public, trying to divert the focus from the much hoopla and corruption issues in regards to CWG? Is it a planned move? Maybe yes.

  1. ... and needless to say, the verdict will be challenged by some communities to make the matter spicy so that people generate a sense of "false patriotism" and ignite the hatred amongst communities. And hence the CWG fire will die down in view of the new issue to discuss and bitch about. Great politics!
